#VoteButt – Abdul Butt SiriusXM Top Comic Semi-Finalist


Montreal, Canada, August 8 2016 — Canadian Comedy Award Nominee, Writers guild of Canada Award Nominee and Stand-Up Comic Abdul Butt has announced that he has made it to the top 18 of SiriusXM’s Top Comic Competition that is currently open to the public for online voting until the third week of August.

The Top Comic competition consists of seventy-two accepted submissions out of hundreds of applicants across Canada. The competition offered six shows with each featuring a lineup of twelve comics. The top three from each of these shows were selected by industry professionals to move through to the next round.

The SiriusXM Top Comic competition is open for public voting until August 22nd 2016 and you can vote for Abdul by going to https://topcomic.siriusxm.ca/comic/abdul-butt/. The eight comics who have the most online votes get to compete live at JFL 42 in Toronto, Ont., on September 29th 2016. The winner will receive $25000, guaranteed spots at three of the country’s biggest comedy festivals, as well as a TV taping airing on The Comedy Network. The runners up both get TV spots in Montreal and spots at JFL42 for the following year.
